Belgian Brass on Radio Centraal

On Wednesday 19 October, Radio Centraal (Antwerp region 106.7FM) will be bringing a special around composer Wim Henderickx. Belgian Brass will kick off the show at 5:00 pm with their recording of IO. 
For listeners who are not from the Antwerp region, this programme can be followed via live streaming on their site www.radiocentraal.be .

Showcasing new work of Erik Desimpelaere

At 8:00 pm on 24 September, Belgian Brass will be closing the first edition of the Y(amaha) E(ducational) D(ays) in Harelbeke with the concert 'Pushing The Limits'. During this concert, a new work of the young West-Flemish composer Erik Desimpelaere will be performed for the first time. With this work, entitled Souvenirs d'avril, he gained second place at the International Antonin Dvorak Composition Competition.

First YED on 24 September 2011 in West-Vlaanderen

On September 24th the very first edition of the Yamaha Educational Days takes place in Harelbeke. During this day Belgian Brass welcomes all brass students from the DKO and all musicians from the Hafabra-scene West-Vlaanderen.

Première new work Bert Joris

On September 3rd at 8:00pm Belgian Brass plays 'Pushing The Limits' at the Casino of Tongeren. At this concert is also a new work of Bert Joris that will be premiered.

Frankie De Kuyffer joins the ensemble

Now that trumpetplayer Steven Verhaert has left Belgian Brass, we looked for another specimen and we found it in the person of Frankie De Kuyffer. In the past, Frankie already played several concerts with the ensemble and we welcome him now as a fix player. More info about him you can find here.

Steven Verhaert leaves the ensemble

Our trumpetplayer Steven Verhaert recently decided to leave the ensemble due to his very busy schedule. Belgian Brass wishes to thank him for the beautiful musical moments we had together en we wish him all the best for his future activities.

Documentary European Brass Orchestra at the Festival La Chaise Dieu (F)

The European Brass Orchestra is a new ensemble that consists of members from leading brass ensembles from the European Union, such as Epsilon Brass (F), Spanish Brass (E), Penta Brass (I), Mnozil Brass (A), Belgian Brass (B). It is conducted by Sylvain Cambreling.

Marc Peremans joins Belgian Brass as a French Hornplayer

Concert Bruges on june 12th

On june 12th 2010 Belgian Brass plays a concert at the Stadshallen in Bruges and this with the cooperation of carillonneur Frank Deleu, for the occasion of 500 years carrillon at Bruges.

Concert Leuven on mai 29th

On mai 29th Belgian Brass plays its annual concert for its sponsors at the Lemmensinstituut, Leuven and this in cooperation with the Festival Brassband, conducted by Manu Mellaerts.

Trombonist Tom Verschoore joins the ensemble
